The app

Wanderwort is published by Virtia LLC and distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement and by these terms. Where they differ, these terms apply to the relationship between you and Virtia, and Apple's agreement to the relationship between you and Apple.

Content

The passages, explanations, etymologies and recognition bridges in the app are editorial work by Virtia, with sources cited where a claim rests on them. They are offered for learning, and like any reference work they can contain errors; we correct what you report. Answers marked as coming from Wanderwort Plus are produced by an AI model, are labelled as such in the app, and are not reviewed before you see them. Treat them as a knowledgeable draft, not as a settled authority.

Text you bring into the app by typing, dictating, scanning or sharing stays yours. You are responsible for having the right to use it.

Wanderwort Plus

Plus is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store, monthly or yearly, with the free trial shown at purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the price shown unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you manage and cancel it in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Plus includes a fair-use allowance of answers per month, shown in the app; we may adjust the allowance with notice in the app.

Availability

The offline parts of the app work without any service from us. Plus depends on our server and on third-party AI providers and may be unavailable at times; we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and a prolonged outage is addressed by Apple's refund process rather than by a separate remedy.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Virtia is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Plus in the twelve months before the claim.
